Music: New Divide - Linkin Park
First of all, I just want to say a quick goodbye to one of the greatest pop singers/performers/song writers of all time, Michael Jackson you’ve made history.
So I’m back from Queensland, and I’ve officially finished my Work Experience. I can now enjoy my school holidays with no 5.30am wake ups or 25 hour bus rides
Though I admit the bus rides were fun…just a little squishy/uncomfortable/tiring/cramp inducing/smelly/nauseating… I love the Gold Coast though, it’s truly a beautiful place. The sun was so high up (we’re in June people.. WINTER!) and I got a tan, which I sometimes don’t even get in Summer here in Melbourne (usually on a 47 degree day, I stay inside to avoid turning to vapour). We did the usual tourist thing and went to Surfer’s Paradise and the Cavill Avenue - this awesome shopping strip on the beach - and the theme parks of course!!
Dreamworld and Movieworld are by far the greatest theme parks I’ve been to. Dreamworld (for those who don’t know) is just a big space FILLED with rides. The biggest and scariest ride is The Giant Drop which is a really high tower 390ft in the air, you get taken up and then you have to sit at the top for like 1 minute before it just drops. It literally is so scary you can’t scream. Along the side of the Giant Drop is the Tower of Terror, this ride drives straight towards the tower at an alarming pace and then shoots half way up the tower and just comes straight back down. My face came up on the photo with extremely horrified reaction, the kind you see in cheap scary movies!
Warner Bros Movieworld is awesome. It is home to the Superman ride which is apparently one of the fastest rides in the world…I have the bruises to prove it. It’s a big rollercoaster and you start off slow go through this tunnel which is a pretend Metropolis Express. Then the carriage just stops (some fake earthquake thing, the station is apparently going to blow up..) and superman’s voice tells you he’s going to save you and then you literally shoot up out of the tunnel up the rail. At the end of the ride, my voice was gone, and my neck was sore from being stuck to the headrest - not to mention the brusies on my arms from the harness. But it was bloody worth it. I was still looking for my stomach about 20 minutes later… Then there was the cool Scooby Doo Coaster which is inside a castle, it goes fast and turns around sharp corners and u-turns. At one point you get raised up a few levels then just drop down a ramp backwards…
Enough about rides, my stomach is turning.. I did get a few photos but not really of the scenery.. I don’t know why! I’ll try sort through em to see what I can use.. I also went to Seaworld and saw a Polar Bear, seals, dolphins, tons of fish and other marine life and Wet n Wild which is a water park. We had to take a bus to and from the Gold Coast, which was about 24 hours. We stopped in some of the strangest places in the middle of no where. We went to a McDonald’s which was put smack in the middle of two farms :S
Ekh, Work Experience was good but tiring. I did at this company called Stitches Australia. It owns a few ladies brands of clothing and i worked with one of them. I did lots of stuff including folding clothes and packing them in boxes, making folders, filing, hanging up clothes, helping with patterns, measuring, exploring WGSN.com (awesome awesome website, if only i could afford a membership), cleaning and sewing on a button
It was good experience for my future career choice so hopefully the fashion industry will accept me after I’m done with school. Now I have nothing more to say.. my blog is officially getting to the shit bit where I just ramble about things like dirty socks and smelly people on trains. I’m moving houses soon! Yay big new house, new room, new wardrobe, big backyard, woo. My house is tiny so we opted for an upgrade finally but I’ll still have to share a room with my sister except this time it will be a spacious room where 2 people can stand side-by-side ahah. Oh and I now have a real excuse for not doing anything with my site. I can’t download Paint Shop Pro (altogether now, ewwwwwwww) because my computer has a virus. Actually it’s just a fill-in computer until I get my normal computer back. So this virus just randomly closes stuff. If i open up twitter it’s like bam! goodbye twitter, if i try msn, bam! msn goes all Houdini on your ass. It sucks so now I have to resort to e-buddy. Ew.
Please and thank-you, xx

I leave for Queensland in an hour so I don’t have time to blog or do anything special.
I’ll try and get some good photos and make this site snazzy when I get back. My site was down for a couple of days so I couldn’t blog beforehand. Sorry!
I’ll be back Friday, xx
